A Shopify store selling catalogue items needs the payment to correspond to the chosen variant, quantity, shipping charge and final order total. An independent consultant collecting an agreed project fee has a different task: send a clear payment request, confirm receipt and deliver the work.

Gammal Tech's payment-link flow is documented for that direct collection task. Decide whether your immediate need is a Shopify store payment or an independent service payment. Keep clear records for each.

What to establish before using a link for a Shopify order

Shopify's terms require Shopify Checkout for sales associated with the online store and prohibit checkout bypass. A website's ability to display an external link does not establish an approved payment integration.

For Gammal Tech, the public sources reviewed for this guide document standalone payment links. They do not document a native Shopify provider or automatic Shopify order reconciliation. Before using a particular arrangement for store orders, obtain the supported integration instructions for that exact flow.

  • How does the payment receive the final amount, currency and order reference?
  • What confirms payment to Shopify, and what happens if the customer closes the browser?
  • How are refunds, cancellations and fulfillment recorded?

Understand what a manual payment record does

Shopify documents custom manual payment methods, with instructions shown after the customer places an order. The order stays unpaid or pending until the merchant receives payment and records it as paid. Its examples include cash and bank transfers.

Shopify also documents marking eligible orders as paid after collecting payment elsewhere. That action records receipt; it does not charge the customer again.

The documentation does not specifically establish a Gammal Tech card-link workflow after Shopify Checkout. Do not infer support for that exact arrangement solely from the existence of a custom payment-method field.

Where a standalone Gammal Tech link is useful

Illustrative example: A product photographer in Cairo agrees a lighting consultation directly with an overseas client through the photographer's independent service website. The beneficiary must be the same person verified by Gammal Tech. Obtain the receiving instructions for the account from your bank. The actual customer transaction currency determines the rule, regardless of where the customer's card was issued.

Choose a process you can operate reliably

For every sale, connect the agreed work, payment reference and delivery record. Confirm the payment in Gammal Tech records before delivering; a screenshot or return page alone is insufficient. Automated fulfillment needs trusted payment validation and duplicate-delivery prevention.

Enable payments yourself in Developer Mode

Once your identity is verified, you can configure your project and turn payments on from your own account:

  1. Create your Gammal Tech account once and verify your identity with your Egyptian National ID, using an alternative document only if a documented Egyptian exception applies to you. Earnings belong to that verified person, and withdrawals go only to an eligible bank account in the same name.
  2. Allow for account verification. The published estimate is approximately 10 days, with approval notification by WhatsApp or email.
  3. Sign in to the Console using your verified account.
  4. Click Developer Mode.
  5. Create a new project, then open project settings.
  6. Set the Payment Callback URL, an HTTPS page where customers return after paying.
  7. Enable payments in project settings. Payments remain off until the callback URL is set.
  8. Use the payment link generator to set your project, amount and currency, then share the link with your customer.

Review the current payment fees, withdrawal conditions and refund rules before setting your price. Transfer fees are deducted from the withdrawal amount.
