The key idea
Choose USD in the payment link's currency field to create a USD card payment request. For a developer resident in Egypt, a confirmed non-EGP payment can be paid out in the currency of their own bank account at a local Egyptian bank, including EGP. A customer payment recorded in EGP must be paid out in EGP.
Separate the quote, the payment and the payout
Your quotation tells the client the price you agreed. The payment link tells checkout which currency to charge. Your receiving bank account determines the destination currency for an eligible payout. These are connected decisions, but one does not automatically set the others.
Writing “USD” in the description while leaving the currency field set to EGP does not create a dollar payment. Likewise, a foreign card used for an EGP payment does not make the transaction non-EGP. Use the actual recorded customer payment currency when applying Gammal Tech's payout rule.
Prepare your verified project before making the link
Current registration documents: Use the National ID of a country whose citizenship you hold, not a residence-only ID. An Egyptian passport is accepted only for an Egyptian living abroad without their Egyptian National ID available. An Egyptian birth certificate is accepted only for an Egyptian living in Egypt, under 15, who has neither a National ID nor a passport. Check the official registration requirements before applying.
Create your Gammal Tech account once and complete identity verification. Egyptian applicants can use their Egyptian National ID, using another document only if a documented Egyptian exception applies. Commercial registration is not required for individual onboarding, and your receiving bank account must belong to that same verified person.
After approval, sign in at my.gammal.tech. Click Developer Mode, create a project and open its settings. Set an HTTPS Payment Callback URL and enable payments yourself. Copy your own project ID for the generator.
The generator's optional callback field does not remove the requirement to configure the project's Payment Callback URL. The project must be ready to accept payments before you share a request.
Fill in the fields for a USD payment request
Open the Gammal Tech payment link generator and enter the following details. A service with a single agreed payment needs a one-time link.
| Field | What to enter or choose |
|---|---|
| Project ID | The ID belonging to the verified person who should receive the earnings. |
| Amount | The agreed service amount for this payment. |
| Currency | USD for a dollar payment; another supported currency when agreed with the client. |
| Description | A short, recognizable service description without confidential details. |
| Recurrence | One-time for a single purchase. Use a recurring option only for an agreed ongoing service. |
| Optional callback | A suitable HTTPS return page, with the required project callback already configured. |
Generate the link and review the displayed payment details before sending it. The same approach works for EUR or another currency offered by the generator. Do not assume that changing a visible label on your own page changes checkout.
Know what your USD customer payment allows
If you live in Egypt, a USD customer payment can be paid out by wire transfer to your own USD account at a local Egyptian bank in USD. It can also be paid out in EUR to your EUR account, or in EGP to your EGP account, with conversion where the currencies differ.
The broader rule covers non-EGP payments, not just dollars. For example, a client can pay in SAR while you receive USD in your Egyptian USD account. An EGP payment must remain an EGP payout, even if you also hold a USD account.
Ask your bank for the receiving instructions for the exact account and currency you will use. Gammal Tech does not supply the bank account, and the account holder must match your verified identity.
Example: a USD link for a presentation design service
Illustrative example: A presentation designer in Giza agrees a USD price for redesigning a client's sales deck. The designer enters their project ID, that amount, USD and a brief description in the generator. The client opens the link and pays by card in USD.
After confirming the USD transaction in Gammal Tech's records, the designer proceeds with the agreed delivery. Their same-name USD account at an Egyptian bank can receive a USD wire payout. If the link had instead collected EGP, the original dollar quotation would not make that payment eligible for a USD withdrawal.
Check the terms before publishing your price
Use the current fee, refund and withdrawal guide when quoting. A USD link does not mean a fee-free payment or an identical net bank receipt. Transfer fees are deducted from the withdrawal; conversion matters when your payout account uses another currency.
Review the payment request without completing an unnecessary trial charge. Gammal Tech has no test-payment mode; a completed payment uses real money. For ongoing services, monthly or yearly recurring guest links require a supported non-EGP currency and the customer's agreement.
Common questions
Does the customer need a dollar-denominated card?
The link specifies a USD payment. Whether the customer's particular card can complete that payment, and any card-side conversion or charges, depend on the card issuer. The payout rule follows the recorded payment currency.
Can I create a euro payment link the same way?
Yes. Choose EUR in the generator's currency field and review the amount and description. A EUR customer payment is a non-EGP payment for the Egypt-resident payout rule.
Can I receive a USD link payment in Egyptian pounds?
Yes. If you live in Egypt, the proceeds of a non-EGP customer payment can be paid out in EGP to your own EGP account at a local Egyptian bank after conversion.
Does selecting USD guarantee I receive the full quoted amount?
No. The currency choice does not remove payment deductions, transfer fees or any relevant conversion. Check the current central terms and your withdrawal record.
Can an EGP payment become USD if the client uses a foreign card?
No. An EGP customer payment must be paid out in EGP for a developer living in Egypt. The card's issuing country and the currency on the cardholder's statement do not change the recorded transaction currency.
