The key idea
Gammal Tech supports individual onboarding without requiring commercial registration. Egyptians can verify with their national ID, create a payment project and share guest card links with clients. Customers do not need a Gammal Tech account for that card checkout. Choose the supported currency, understand the current charges and prepare an eligible receiving bank account in your verified name before relying on the payment route.
Start with the customer you want to serve
The best payment gateway for your situation is the one that fits the complete purchase: who is paying, what they are buying and how you receive the proceeds. A local customer asking for a bank transfer and an overseas client asking for card checkout have different needs.
The Central Bank of Egypt describes its Instant Payment Network as supporting transfers to bank accounts, Meeza cards and mobile wallets. Those local transfer options provide useful context when discussing payment with Egyptian customers. They do not establish Gammal Tech integration with InstaPay, Meeza or a mobile wallet.
Gammal Tech's guest card links provide a separate route for an agreed service purchase. Compare that route with your actual customers' preferences, rather than expecting one payment button to represent every Egyptian payment method.
Match the arrangement to your next sale
| Your customer | What to evaluate |
|---|---|
| An Egyptian client prefers a local transfer | A suitable domestic transfer arrangement and a clear payment reference. |
| A direct client wants to pay by card | A Gammal Tech guest card link, supported currency and confirmed withdrawal route. |
| A customer hired you through a marketplace | The marketplace's approved billing process and contract. |
| An established company needs several payment methods | Local acquiring options, integrations, reconciliation and total operating costs. |
For an individual starting a direct-client service, personal onboarding and simple link sharing can be useful. Keep the decision tied to how you work today, while checking what would need to change if you later form a company.
Give the first customer a clear result to buy
Write down the deliverable, the material the customer must provide, the deadline and the revision allowance. A small, specific offer is easier to quote and complete than an undefined promise to handle everything.
Illustrative example: An audio editor in Alexandria offers to clean a podcast recording and review its supplied transcript for a client abroad. The offer sets a recording-length limit, delivery formats and one revision round. After approving the scope, the client receives a card payment link identifying that assignment.
The editor confirms the recorded payment before starting the agreed paid work, then keeps the delivery email with the order. This creates a process that can be repeated for another episode. A gateway makes the payment step possible; a well-defined service gives the customer a reason to use it.
Keep the account in the person’s verified identity
Current registration documents: Use the National ID of a country whose citizenship you hold, not a residence-only ID. An Egyptian passport is accepted only for an Egyptian living abroad without their Egyptian National ID available. An Egyptian birth certificate is accepted only for an Egyptian living in Egypt, under 15, who has neither a National ID nor a passport. Check the official registration requirements before applying.
Gammal Tech does not require commercial registration for individual onboarding. Egyptians may use their national ID for verification; an Egyptian passport is accepted only for an Egyptian living abroad whose Egyptian National ID is unavailable. One person has one account, and the verified name determines who receives its earnings.
Your receiving bank account must belong to that same person. A service brand does not let you substitute a friend's account. If a developer builds your website, your own account and project should receive your sales. If you build a site for a client, the client should own that payment setup.
Allow time for verification before promising a live checkout. Approval is not instant; the setup instructions below explain the estimated verification period and notification process.
Prepare a payment project you can manage yourself
After verification, sign in to your account and open Developer Mode to create the project. In its settings, configure an HTTPS Payment Callback URL and enable payments. This is the return page for the customer, and the setting is required even if you will share links through messages.
You do not need a complete online store to use the payment link generator. Sharing guest card links requires no SDK installation, secret key or domain whitelisting for the message channel. Follow the complete self-service sequence below before sending your first request.
Agree the currency and understand the money you retain
Gammal Tech documents guest card checkout in EGP and supported foreign currencies such as USD, EUR and GBP. Agree the currency with the customer and review the complete checkout total. Customer charges and merchant deductions affect different parts of the purchase.
Use the current payment, refund and withdrawal rules when setting prices. Refund arrangements differ by payment method and currency, so choose the route with your cancellation policy in mind. Transfer charges are deducted from withdrawals.
Ask your bank which account details and receiving currency apply to your earnings, then resolve any payout-eligibility uncertainty with Gammal Tech. A checkout currency does not guarantee that every bank account receives or retains that currency.
Keep useful records from the first customer
Connect the agreed scope, order reference, payment record and delivered work. Check the actual merchant transaction rather than accepting a screenshot as payment proof. When work is complete, record what you supplied and any agreed revision or refund.
Gammal Tech handles the VAT and tax obligations assigned to it under its service arrangements. Your own personal income tax, local registration and reporting obligations remain separate. The Egyptian Tax Authority's guidance addresses online commerce and freelance activity within the tax framework. Check the requirements for your activity and keep the appropriate sales records.
Expand when customers show what they need next
After the first completed order, improve the detail that caused the most questions: the service scope, sample, delivery schedule or payment explanation. You can add a service page and a repeat-client package when those additions solve a real need.
For a continuing service, monthly or yearly recurring guest links are available in supported non-EGP currencies; EGP card and wallet payments do not support that recurrence. Agree the ongoing work and cancellation process first. For the transaction-by-transaction process, read how to accept card payments for services in Egypt.
Common questions
Can I use a payment gateway in Egypt without a registered company?
Gammal Tech supports individual onboarding without requiring commercial registration. You still complete identity verification, use an eligible same-name receiving account and meet the local requirements applying to your work.
Can Egyptians verify with a national ID?
Yes. Egyptian account holders can use their national ID for Gammal Tech verification. One person has one account, and withdrawals follow that verified identity.
Does the client need a Gammal Tech account?
A customer using a guest card payment link does not need a Gammal Tech account. Gammal Tech wallet payments follow a separate account-based flow.
Can I accept Egyptian-pound card payments?
EGP is a documented guest card checkout currency. Read the current commercial and refund terms before choosing it. EGP card payments do not support monthly or yearly recurrence.
Does this payment link accept InstaPay or mobile-wallet transfers?
This guide describes Gammal Tech card checkout. It does not establish integration with InstaPay or Egyptian mobile-wallet payment methods.
Can another person receive my withdrawal?
No. The eligible receiving bank account must belong to the same verified person who owns the Gammal Tech account and project.
