What a payment link does for a service order

A payment link opens a checkout for the customer. It is useful when your client conversation is in email or messaging and you want a card payment step. With a Gammal Tech guest card link, the customer does not need to create a Gammal Tech account.

The link does not replace your quotation, delivery agreement or customer support. Treat the checkout as the payment part of a complete order, and make sure your customer knows the service they are paying for.

Make the order clear before asking for payment

Illustrative example: An Abuja video editor agrees to prepare four short clips from footage supplied by a client in Manchester. The editor confirms clip lengths, captions, delivery format, the date files must arrive and one review round. After the client accepts that scope, the editor sends the card payment link and explains when production begins.

That small amount of structure reduces avoidable questions. If the client later adds another clip, agree a separate change and payment rather than silently expanding the original order. A payment record can show that money arrived; it cannot explain an unwritten promise.

Prepare your account and payment project once

Current registration documents: Use the National ID of a country whose citizenship you hold, not a residence-only ID. An Egyptian passport is accepted only for an Egyptian living abroad without their Egyptian National ID available. An Egyptian birth certificate is accepted only for an Egyptian living in Egypt, under 15, who has neither a National ID nor a passport. Check the official registration requirements before applying.

Create your Gammal Tech account and complete National ID verification. Individual onboarding does not require company registration, but it does identify the person receiving the earnings. Your local registration and personal tax obligations remain separate from the gateway's onboarding requirements.

In Developer Mode, create a project, set its HTTPS Payment Callback URL and enable payments. Payments remain disabled until that URL is configured. You do not need a full online store, but the callback setup is still necessary; arrange it before you send a live request.

Sharing a guest payment link requires no SDK installation, secret key or domain whitelisting. Your Project ID is public. That makes the sharing step simple without removing the need to protect your account and verify orders.

Generate a link for the agreed payment

Choose the agreed amount and a supported currency appropriate to the client, such as GBP, EUR or USD.
Review the generated checkout details, including project, amount and currency, before sharing.
Send the link with the order summary and a clear explanation of what follows confirmed payment.
Keep a record that connects this payment request to the correct order and customer.

For a split project, request each agreed stage separately and label it in your order records, such as initial production and final handover. Do not describe that arrangement as escrow or protected milestone release unless a service actually provides those features.

Verify the money, then fulfil the right order

A client may send a screenshot or say that their bank has charged them. Check the recorded payment in your own dashboard before marking the order paid. Match the amount and currency, and resolve any uncertainty before releasing the work. If the customer retries a payment, check the existing records before asking them to pay again.

For manual service delivery, keep payment checking and order acceptance deliberate. A payment confirmation should lead to an acknowledgement with the next step, such as the production start or scheduled session. A guest checkout does not automatically create a signed-in user account in your application.

If you automate access to files or software later, use trusted payment validation that matches the expected project, amount, currency and order, and records completion so retries cannot release the same entitlement twice. The customer-facing success page alone is not the authority for fulfilment.

Price the work and plan the withdrawal together

Read the current payment charges, withdrawal conditions and refund rules before quoting. Merchant charges affect what you retain, customer charges affect the checkout total, and transfer fees are deducted from the amount withdrawn. Explaining the full payment expectation up front is part of professional service.

Before taking funds, confirm that your receiving bank and currency route are eligible. Withdrawals can go only to an account owned by the same verified person. Do not use a friend's account because it appears easier. Travelling or relocating may allow an eligible account you own in another supported country, but the ownership rule remains.

If you test the complete payment journey, check the current testing and refund rules first. A real payment involves real money; do not assume a live link provides a free sandbox transaction.

Use recurring links only for a genuinely recurring service

A monthly video-editing package needs a monthly definition: output limits, required client material, delivery rhythm and how cancellation works. Gammal Tech supports monthly or yearly recurrence through guest links in supported non-EGP currencies. It is not a general promise that every payment method supports subscriptions.

Start with a one-off order if the client is still deciding whether your service fits. Once delivery is repeatable and both sides understand the arrangement, recurring collection can reduce repeated payment requests while you continue tracking every service period.

Common questions

Can I send a payment link through WhatsApp in Nigeria?

Yes. Once your verified account and payment project are configured, you can share a guest card payment link through WhatsApp, email or other messages. The customer's ability to complete card checkout still depends on the supported payment route and their card issuer.

Do I need a registered company or a full store?

Gammal Tech does not require company registration for individual onboarding or a full store for link sharing. It does require identity verification, a project and an HTTPS Payment Callback URL before payments are enabled.

Is a screenshot enough to confirm the service has been paid for?

No. Confirm the transaction in your own account records and match it to the expected order, amount and currency before delivery.

Can I use one link to automatically identify every customer?

Do not rely on a shared payment link alone to identify an order or create a customer account. Maintain an order record and reconcile the actual payment before giving access or delivering work.

Start with an account in your own name

Follow these actions in order. An already approved account can go straight to project setup:

Create a Gammal Tech account in the name of the person who will receive the earnings and complete the registration checks. Wait for account approval before project setup; review can take up to 10 days. If that account is already approved, continue to the next step.
Sign in and open Developer Mode. Select your project or click Create Project, then open its settings.
Set the Payment Callback URL, an HTTPS page where customers return after checkout, then enable payments. Record the project ID, pid.
Check current charges, refund conditions and withdrawal rules before setting the customer price. Prepare an eligible receiving bank account in the verified person’s name. Transfer fees are deducted from the withdrawal amount.
Open the payment link generator. Enter that project ID, the agreed amount, currency and recognizable description. Review the generated link before sharing it with the customer.
After the customer pays, check the transaction record and match the project, order, amount and currency before delivery. A return-page visit or screenshot alone is not payment confirmation.
