The key idea

Gammal Tech's individual account is designed around the person receiving the money: verify your identity with the National ID of a country whose citizenship you hold, set up a project and its HTTPS payment return page, and share a guest card link. The customer can pay without a Gammal Tech account. Withdrawals must go to an eligible bank account in your verified name. Confirm bank and currency eligibility before collecting funds, and check current fees centrally.

Choose an account that matches how you are starting

Current registration documents: Use the National ID of a country whose citizenship you hold, not a residence-only ID. An Egyptian passport is accepted only for an Egyptian living abroad without their Egyptian National ID available. An Egyptian birth certificate is accepted only for an Egyptian living in Egypt, under 15, who has neither a National ID nor a passport. Check the official registration requirements before applying.

Payment gateways have different onboarding models. Some are designed around an established business and its bank account; others can onboard the individual who delivers the service. Checking this early prevents you from planning around a product whose paperwork does not fit your present stage.

For a concrete Tanzanian example, CRDB's online payment gateway information lists a registered business and a business bank account in Tanzania among its requirements. That can fit an established merchant. It is one provider's arrangement, not a statement about every payment option in Tanzania.

Gammal Tech allows you to open an individual account without submitting commercial registration to Gammal Tech. The account is verified using the National ID of a country whose citizenship you hold and owned by you. Choose the arrangement around your activity, customers and receiving-bank needs, then complete the appropriate local obligations for the business you actually operate.

Sell a result that an international client can understand

A good first offer makes the work easy to evaluate. Instead of advertising every possible service, name a specific problem you can solve and provide a sample that shows your standard. Translation, editing, design and website maintenance can all be packaged into a clear initial assignment where permitted.

Illustrative example: A Dar es Salaam language professional offers a Swahili localisation review for a client's product brochure. The package defines the document length, terminology notes and one review round. The client approves the scope, receives a card payment link and knows exactly when the finished review will arrive.

The example works because the scope is visible before payment. Specify file formats, deadlines, materials the client must supply and how extra work will be priced. Keep the description consistent on the proposal, payment request and final delivery.

A local payment habit and an overseas checkout can differ

Do not assume that the method a local customer prefers will suit a client abroad. CRDB's official Lipa Hapa guide distinguishes point-of-sale payments, an online card gateway, and QR or Lipa Namba collection. These choices serve different buying situations.

The Gammal Tech workflow in this guide is an online guest card payment link. Its documentation does not establish support for Tanzanian mobile-money providers, Lipa Namba or local QR payments. A payment link is a way to open a checkout; it is not proof that every local payment method is included.

If you serve both local and overseas clients, explain which payment route is available for each offer.

Set up one service and one working checkout

  1. Verify the owner: create your Gammal Tech account and complete National ID verification. Each person keeps one account.
  2. Prepare the bank details: ask your bank for its international receiving instructions, then confirm the supported destination and currency with Gammal Tech.
  3. Create the project: use the developer dashboard to create a project for the service and find its public project ID.
  4. Complete the return path: set an HTTPS Payment Callback URL and enable payments. A configured callback is required before payments can work.
  5. Generate the card link: enter the correct project, amount and supported currency in the payment link generator.
  6. Send the approved offer: share the link by email, message or on your service page with a description of what the buyer will receive.

The guest card customer does not need a Gammal Tech account. You can share the link without installing an SDK, managing a secret key or whitelisting the messaging platform. A full store is unnecessary, but the project's HTTPS return page still needs to be in place.

Keep checkout price, charges and bank receipt distinct

Three amounts to understand before you quote
AmountWhat to confirm
Your service priceThe agreed scope and a supported checkout currency such as USD, EUR or GBP.
The customer's checkout totalThe applicable service charges the buyer sees before paying.
Your bank receiptMerchant deductions, withdrawal conditions, transfer charges and any currency conversion.

Refer to the current Gammal Tech fees and withdrawal rules when preparing the offer. Transfer charges are deducted from the amount withdrawn. Do not promise a Tanzanian-shilling checkout or a particular settlement currency without confirming the documented route.

Price the work so that the expected net receipt covers your time and costs. If a quotation changes before the client pays, replace the payment request clearly and tell the client which link to use.

The same verified person receives the earnings

Your receiving account must be in the same name as your verified Gammal Tech identity. Payments cannot be redirected to a family member or to the developer who helped build your site. If you are building the service for a client, the client must own the verified account and project.

Travelling does not change ownership. You may use your own eligible bank account in another supported country if the destination and banking requirements are met. Confirm that receiving arrangement before relying on it.

Gammal Tech handles the VAT and tax obligations assigned to it under its service arrangements. Your own personal income tax, local registration and reporting obligations remain separate. Maintain the records needed to explain your service income rather than treating the final bank deposit as your only record.

Make payment confirmation part of good delivery

Confirm the transaction in your payment records before delivering. Match it to the order, amount and currency; a customer's screenshot is not a substitute. If payment is unclear, check the record before asking the client to pay again.

Keep the approved scope, payment reference, delivered files and client acceptance together. This helps you answer questions about revisions or refunds with a clear history. If you later automate downloads or service access, validate the payment in a trusted system and record fulfilment once.

Your next improvement should follow real customer questions. If clients repeatedly ask what a package includes, improve the offer. If they hesitate at checkout, explain the payment process and total more clearly. One well-delivered service gives you a practical base for the next sale.

Common questions

Can I open a Gammal Tech account without a registered company in Tanzania?

Gammal Tech does not require commercial registration for individual onboarding. National ID verification and an eligible same-name bank receiving route are required. Local business and tax obligations remain separate.

Does a payment link require a complete e-commerce website?

No full store is necessary to share a guest card link. You must still create the project, configure an HTTPS Payment Callback URL and enable payments before the link can work.

Does the link accept Tanzanian mobile-money payments?

This guide describes Gammal Tech's guest card payment links. The documentation does not establish support for local mobile-money services, Lipa Namba or Tanzanian QR payment methods.

Can my earnings be paid into someone else's bank account?

No. Earnings are paid only to an eligible bank account belonging to the verified account owner and carrying the same verified name.

How do I calculate what I will receive?

Start with your service price, then check current merchant charges and withdrawal conditions in the central guide. Transfer fees are deducted from withdrawals, and the receiving currency or conversion must be confirmed with the bank and platform.

Start with an account in your own name

Follow these actions in order. An already approved account can go straight to project setup:

  1. Create a Gammal Tech account in the name of the person who will receive the earnings and complete the registration checks. Wait for account approval before project setup; review can take up to 10 days. If that account is already approved, continue to the next step.
  2. Sign in and open Developer Mode. Select your project or click Create Project, then open its settings.
  3. Set the Payment Callback URL, an HTTPS page where customers return after checkout, then enable payments. Record the project ID, pid.
  4. Check current charges, refund conditions and withdrawal rules before setting the customer price. Prepare an eligible receiving bank account in the verified person’s name. Transfer fees are deducted from the withdrawal amount.
  5. Open the payment link generator. Enter that project ID, the agreed amount, currency and recognizable description. Review the generated link before sharing it with the customer.
  6. After the customer pays, check the transaction record and match the project, order, amount and currency before delivery. A return-page visit or screenshot alone is not payment confirmation.

Already approved? Open your project and use the payment link generator. Review the current payment fees, withdrawal conditions and refund rules before setting your customer price.
