The key idea
For a freelancer in Pakistan, evaluate international card collection and the receiving bank account together. Gammal Tech allows individual onboarding without requiring commercial registration, lets clients pay through guest card links and sends eligible withdrawals only to the verified person's own account. Ask your bank how it records your service-export receipts, and confirm the receiving route with Gammal Tech before collecting customer payments.
Build a payment route for clients you find yourself
A marketplace may manage checkout inside its own platform. When you find clients through referrals, a portfolio or professional outreach, you need a separate payment process. That process should feel understandable to a first-time customer and leave you with a clear record of the service sold.
A Gammal Tech card payment link can sit alongside your proposal or invoice. Your client opens the link and pays by card without needing a Gammal Tech account. You remain responsible for the offer, communication and delivery.
The account starts with the person providing the service
Current registration documents: Use the National ID of a country whose citizenship you hold, not a residence-only ID. An Egyptian passport is accepted only for an Egyptian living abroad without their Egyptian National ID available. An Egyptian birth certificate is accepted only for an Egyptian living in Egypt, under 15, who has neither a National ID nor a passport. Check the official registration requirements before applying.
Gammal Tech's individual onboarding does not require commercial registration. You register using your own identity, verify your identity with the National ID of a country whose citizenship you hold and create the project for your service. One person has one account, and withdrawals follow that verified ownership.
A portfolio review, software repair, illustration package or research service can be described and sold as a specific piece of work. Provider onboarding is separate from any Pakistani registration, tax or professional requirements applicable to that work.
Understand the Pakistani bank side of the transaction
Pakistan's banking framework recognizes freelancers receiving overseas service income. In its April 2026 announcement, the State Bank of Pakistan describes a service declaration and purpose-code process for IT companies and freelancers. The practical implication is simple: tell your bank what service you provide, rather than leaving the nature of your receipts unclear.
Ask whether a freelancer account and an Exporters' Special Foreign Currency Account, where appropriate, fit your needs. Standard Chartered Pakistan, for example, distinguishes its PKR freelancer account from its foreign-currency ESFCA. That distinction does not establish Gammal Tech compatibility with a particular account; confirm the actual receiving arrangement separately.
Compare the complete journey, not only checkout
| Question | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Can I onboard personally? | The receiving identity must match how you operate. |
| Can the client use a card without joining? | A guest checkout can simplify a direct-client purchase. |
| Which currency will I quote? | The agreed price and checkout currency must be clear. |
| Which account receives withdrawals? | The account name, bank route and currency need confirmation. |
| What will I retain after charges? | Your service price needs to account for collection and transfer costs. |
For an established registered business, also compare local acquiring providers, reconciliation tools and operating needs. The right choice depends on your actual customers and workflow.
Example: sell a defined software repair
Illustrative example: A developer in Lahore offers to repair a specific checkout bug for an overseas retailer. The written scope identifies the broken behavior, supported environment, acceptance criteria and what falls outside the job. The developer agrees the payment schedule and sends a card link with the project's reference.
The buyer knows what the purchase covers. The developer can connect payment to the agreement, document delivery and quote later maintenance separately.
Set up the smallest useful payment workflow
- Prepare your identity and receiving details. Use your citizenship-country National ID for Gammal Tech verification and request your bank's accurate international receiving instructions.
- Open your account. Register at Gammal Tech, then create a project in the developer dashboard.
- Configure the return page. Set an HTTPS Payment Callback URL and enable payments. This remains necessary when sharing guest links.
- Build the payment request. Use the payment-link generator with your public project ID, amount and supported currency.
- Share a complete request. Include the service reference and agreed next step alongside the link.
No secret key or SDK installation is required to share a guest payment link through email or messages.
Connect each payment to the work you deliver
For manual services, inspect the actual transaction in your dashboard before treating an order as paid. A screenshot or a customer's return to a success page does not establish payment by itself. Keep the proposal, invoice or order reference, payment record and delivery evidence together.
If you later sell automatically delivered downloads or account access, use trusted validation of the payment and expected order, and prevent repeated notifications from delivering twice. Guest card payment also does not create a signed-in service account. Plan those separately when adding automation.
Keep withdrawals in your verified name
Gammal Tech pays earnings to the verified individual, into an eligible bank account bearing the same name. Do not use a relative's account or route another freelancer's sales through your own project. If you are building a payment-enabled website for a client, that client should own the verified account and project that receive their sales.
Before your first collection, confirm your bank, receiving currency and required details with Gammal Tech support. The currency shown to your buyer is not automatically the currency your bank will retain. Transfer fees are deducted from the withdrawal, so account for the complete path when planning cash flow.
Keep terms current as your service grows
Link to the current payment, refund and withdrawal rules when reviewing your pricing. Merchant deductions and customer charges are separate, and the buyer should understand the full checkout total before paying.
Gammal Tech handles the VAT and tax obligations assigned to it under its service arrangements. Personal income tax, local registration and reporting remain separate responsibilities. After the first project, consider repeat-client packages or eligible monthly and yearly recurring guest card links for services you can deliver consistently.
Common questions
Can I accept international payments in Pakistan without forming a company?
Gammal Tech permits individual onboarding without commercial registration. You still need National ID verification, an eligible same-name receiving account and compliance with the rules applying to your work and receipts.
Do I need a foreign company or someone else's bank account?
Gammal Tech's individual model is based on your own verified identity. Withdrawals must go to an eligible account in that same name, never someone else's account. Confirm your intended receiving route before collecting funds.
Can clients pay in Pakistani rupees?
Do not assume PKR checkout is supported. Choose a currency available in the current Gammal Tech payment settings, such as USD, EUR or GBP, and agree it with the client. Receiving-bank conversion is a separate matter.
Will the gateway automatically classify my income for my Pakistani bank?
Do not assume that. Explain your service to your bank and ask what account information, payment purpose and supporting records it requires. Keep your customer agreements and payment records available.
