The key idea

Gammal Tech offers identity-verified individual onboarding without requiring commercial registration, plus card payment links that international clients can use as guests. For a freelancer in Bangladesh, bank acceptance and service-export requirements must be resolved before collection. Confirm the receiving arrangement with your authorized-dealer bank and Gammal Tech, keep evidence of the work, and use an account in your own verified name.

Make it easy for a direct client to buy your service

A direct client may be happy to hire you but unfamiliar with the payment methods you normally use. A hosted card payment link gives that client a clear checkout step alongside your proposal, without requiring a marketplace transaction or a Gammal Tech customer account.

Begin with a service that is easy to explain: a defined output, a deadline and a revision policy. Your payment request should repeat the same service reference used in the agreement. A clear offer connects the sale to the work you deliver.

Start under your own verified identity

Current registration documents: Use the National ID of a country whose citizenship you hold, not a residence-only ID. An Egyptian passport is accepted only for an Egyptian living abroad without their Egyptian National ID available. An Egyptian birth certificate is accepted only for an Egyptian living in Egypt, under 15, who has neither a National ID nor a passport. Check the official registration requirements before applying.

Gammal Tech allows an individual to open an account without commercial registration being a platform requirement. International account holders verify with the National ID of a country whose citizenship they hold. You keep one personal account, and the projects you create belong to that verified identity.

The same ownership continues through withdrawal: the account receiving the money must bear your verified name. Do not collect your income through a friend's account or use your project for another person's business. If you build a service website for a client, let the client own the Gammal Tech account and payment project that receive their earnings.

Resolve the bank route before you start collecting

Bangladesh Bank's July 2026 circular explains that electronic evidence can support receipts for services supplied online. It also sets repatriation requirements and restricts retaining export proceeds abroad outside permitted arrangements.

Ask your authorized-dealer bank whether the proposed collection and withdrawal route meets the current rules for your activity. Confirm the same details with Gammal Tech support before taking customer money. A payment provider's ability to send funds internationally does not by itself establish that every route is permitted for a Bangladesh resident. This guide does not establish a particular bank or gateway arrangement as approved.

Keep a small, useful evidence pack for every project

Good records explain the receipt to your bank and reduce misunderstandings with the customer.

Records that connect payment to the service
RecordWhat it should explain
Client agreementThe work requested, price and agreed payment terms
Order or invoice referenceWhich project the payment belongs to
Payment recordAmount, currency, date and transaction reference
Delivery evidenceWhat was supplied and when
Bank receiptHow the withdrawal reached your own account

As one practical example, Standard Chartered Bangladesh's freelancer-account page lists work orders, contracts or email communication among its income and occupation evidence. Your bank determines the documents applicable to your account.

Example: package video editing into a repeatable offer

Illustrative example: A video editor in Dhaka offers an overseas trainer a package of four short lessons, captions and one revision round. After confirming an eligible receiving arrangement, the editor agrees the scope and payment terms in writing, then sends the card payment link with the same reference as the project brief.

The editor records payment confirmation and saves the delivery email with the finished files. Additional videos, a faster deadline or more revisions can be quoted separately, keeping the original offer manageable.

Create the account, project and checkout link

  1. Verify the owner. Register at Gammal Tech using your own details and complete National ID verification.
  2. Create a project. Open the developer dashboard and use the project for the service you are selling.
  3. Set the payment return page. Add an HTTPS Payment Callback URL, then enable payments. The callback setting is required even when you share links.
  4. Generate a guest card link. Use the payment-link generator, selecting an available currency and the agreed price.
  5. Send the link with context. State what the payment purchases and what the customer should expect next.

You do not need a full online store to share the link. The customer can receive it through messages or email, and link-sharing does not require a secret key or SDK installation.

Explain the currency and total before payment

Agree a supported checkout currency with the client, such as USD, EUR or GBP where available. Do not assume BDT card checkout is supported or that the receiving bank will retain the checkout currency. Collection, currency conversion and bank receipt are distinct parts of the process.

Use the current Gammal Tech payment terms for merchant deductions, customer charges, refunds and withdrawals. Transfer fees are deducted from the withdrawn amount. Tell the client to review the complete checkout total, and price the work with your own expected costs and delivery effort in mind.

Confirm recorded payment and deliver what you promised

For a manually delivered service, check the actual transaction in your dashboard. A customer's screenshot is not a substitute for your own payment record. Match the amount, currency and project reference before confirming the paid stage of work.

If you later automate downloads or account access, arrange trusted payment validation and protection against duplicate delivery. Keep payment status, delivery status and a customer's service account separate. This helps as repeat orders grow.

Grow the service with clear responsibilities

Gammal Tech handles the VAT and tax obligations assigned to it under its service arrangements. Your personal income tax, local registration and reporting obligations remain separate. Individual provider onboarding does not change the rules governing your activity or where you must bring its proceeds.

Once the payment route is confirmed, spend your effort on a service clients can understand and recommend: useful work, clear delivery and responsive communication. Add a service website or recurring packages when the offer is established.

Common questions

Can a freelancer in Bangladesh open an individual Gammal Tech account?

Gammal Tech permits individual onboarding without requiring commercial registration. National ID verification is required. Before collecting funds, confirm that your receiving bank and the proposed service-export payment route meet the applicable requirements.

Can I keep my Bangladesh freelance earnings in an overseas account?

Do not assume that you can. Bangladesh Bank's service-export rules include repatriation requirements and restrictions on retaining proceeds abroad. Ask your authorized-dealer bank how the current rules apply to your residence and payment arrangement.

Does a client need to join Gammal Tech to pay me?

No. Guest card payment links let the customer pay without a Gammal Tech account. You still need a verified merchant account, configured project and required HTTPS callback setting.

Does Gammal Tech replace my Bangladeshi bank account?

No. Card collection and bank withdrawal are different steps. Withdrawals must use an eligible account in your verified name, and your bank's documentation and receiving requirements still apply.

Start with an account in your own name

Follow these actions in order. An already approved account can go straight to project setup:

  1. Create a Gammal Tech account in the name of the person who will receive the earnings and complete the registration checks. Wait for account approval before project setup; review can take up to 10 days. If that account is already approved, continue to the next step.
  2. Sign in and open Developer Mode. Select your project or click Create Project, then open its settings.
  3. Set the Payment Callback URL, an HTTPS page where customers return after checkout, then enable payments. Record the project ID, pid.
  4. Check current charges, refund conditions and withdrawal rules before setting the customer price. Prepare an eligible receiving bank account in the verified person’s name. Transfer fees are deducted from the withdrawal amount.
  5. Open the payment link generator. Enter that project ID, the agreed amount, currency and recognizable description. Review the generated link before sharing it with the customer.
  6. After the customer pays, check the transaction record and match the project, order, amount and currency before delivery. A return-page visit or screenshot alone is not payment confirmation.

Already approved? Open your project and use the payment link generator. Review the current payment fees, withdrawal conditions and refund rules before setting your customer price.
