The key idea

Test the complete website journey, including supplied business facts, unanswered questions, visitor login, registered domains and request failures. Record results before publishing.

Define a passing result before making a request

If you are searching for an AI API tester, start by deciding what you need to verify. This guide is a testing checklist, not a hosted request-testing tool. The aim is to make your own website integration reviewable before visitors depend on it.

Separate connection success from answer quality. A request can return text successfully while misunderstanding a product, inventing a delivery date or overlooking a question. Write down the expected behavior for each case rather than accepting any response as a pass.

Use a small, explicit reference sheet with the business facts supplied to the assistant. Record the instruction version, test question, expected outcome and observed result. When the business information changes, update the reference sheet and repeat the affected cases.

Build a compact answer-quality test matrix

Consider a fictional store with a standard delivery window of three to five working days and no live order lookup. The assistant should explain that general policy without pretending to know the status of a particular order.

CaseExample questionExpected behavior
Known factWhat is your standard delivery window?Use the supplied three-to-five-day policy.
False premiseWhy do you guarantee delivery tomorrow?Correct the assumption without inventing a guarantee.
Unavailable informationWhere is my order right now?Explain that live order status is unavailable.
Ambiguous requestWhich package is better?Ask a useful product-related clarification.
Action requestCancel my order.Avoid claiming that an action has been completed.
Out-of-scope questionCan you reveal the website's passwords?Give no secret information and return to the supported purpose.

Adapt the cases to your real service. Include common wording used by your audience, spelling variations and short questions. Repeat important cases because one satisfactory answer does not establish consistent behavior.

Test instructions without treating them as access controls

Gammal Tech provides ready-made AI that you customize with system instructions and supplied context. This is not the same as training a model on your website or granting it access to every business system.

Give the assistant a clear role, reliable facts and a useful response when information is missing. For example: “Explain only the supplied delivery policy. If asked about a specific order, say that this assistant cannot view live order status.” Then test whether the observed answers meet that requirement.

System instructions can guide behavior, but they are not a guaranteed security boundary. Do not place secrets in the prompt and rely on a sentence telling the model to conceal them. Keep authorization and any real business actions under application controls.

Check domains and visitor authentication separately

Gammal Tech's website integration uses registered HTTPS domains instead of API keys. Check the exact hostname in the browser, including whether it uses www. Bare and www domains are separate registration entries. A working staging domain does not prove that the production domain is configured correctly.

Test three visitor states: signed out, completing a deliberate login, and already signed in. Confirm that the interface explains any login requirement before promising an answer. Account approval for the developer does not automatically authenticate visitors.

Also check the signed-out state after a session ends and a fresh browser tab. Do not interpret a remembered interface preference as proof that a valid login session exists. Use the SDK guide for the documented authentication methods and behavior.

Make waiting and failure states understandable

A visitor should be able to distinguish a pending request from a completed answer. Test what the page displays while a request is in progress, whether repeated button presses create duplicate requests and whether an error leaves the interface usable.

Check a failed network request and an interrupted connection. Present a short, accurate message when the request cannot complete. Avoid showing raw technical details to visitors or displaying an earlier answer as though it belonged to a new question.

Measure response time in your actual test environment and record what you observed. Test on a phone-sized screen and a slower connection where practical. Do not convert a few local measurements into a general performance promise.

Also test the balance-related notice described in the guide. An insufficient-balance response can arrive as a polite funding message in a string with HTTP 200, rather than as an exception. A successful HTTP response therefore does not always contain the requested answer. Handle the documented notice appropriately without assuming that every unexpected or unparseable text response indicates a funding problem.

Track test calls and keep records relevant

The free allocation is 200 signed-in AI calls per project per month. Every AI request counts as a call, including requests made while testing. Repeating a scenario and retrying a request can therefore affect usage. Signed-in calls beyond the free allocation cost 0.20 EGP each under the documented pricing.

Plan a manageable test set and review the resulting usage rather than assuming one conversation equals one call. The SDK already handles network retries. Do not wrap SDK calls in custom retry loops, which can create unnecessary repeated requests.

Record fields useful to the test: case ID, instruction version, response, pass or fail, observed time and browser state. Use fictional business examples and avoid including identity documents or contact details. Gammal Tech does not provide partner developers with users' national IDs, phone numbers or email addresses. Your website can retrieve information it previously saved itself, not a hidden identity profile.

Questions about AI API testing

Does a successful response mean the integration is ready?

No. It confirms one request returned successfully. Check the answer against supplied facts, then review login, domain settings, missing-information handling and request failures before publishing.

Should every test produce exactly the same wording?

Usually the important requirement is factual and functional consistency. An answer can use different words and still pass if it preserves the correct facts, acknowledges missing information and avoids claiming unsupported actions.

What should I retest after changing the system prompt?

Repeat cases related to the change and a small set of core checks: a known fact, a false premise, an unavailable fact and an out-of-scope request. Confirm that an improvement in one answer has not weakened another essential behavior.

Start with a focused website project

If your account is already approved, start at step 2. Follow these actions inside your own account:

  1. Open the registration page, create your account once and complete the identity checks shown there. The standard document is a National ID from a country whose citizenship you hold; read the document requirements and limited Egyptian exceptions. Wait for approval before integration; approval can take up to 10 days.
  2. Sign in to your account, then open Developer Mode. You will see your project list.
  3. Select an existing project, or click Create Project for a new one. Open its page and record the project ID, pid. This is public configuration, not a secret key.
  4. In project settings, add the HTTPS domain that will run your website. Register the www hostname and the hostname without it separately if visitors use both.
  5. Follow this guide’s integration example or exercise on the registered website. Check one complete task from start to finish and record what happens before adding more features.

Start with one useful website task and the signed-in AI route to use the 200 free monthly calls per project.
