The key idea
Gammal Tech gives each project 200 free AI calls per month for signed-in users. It works on whitelisted websites without API keys and requires account approval before a new developer can begin.
What does the free AI API include?
Gammal Tech gives each project 200 free AI calls per month for signed-in users. A call is one request to the AI service. A visitor who sends four questions will normally use four calls if your website sends one request per question.
The allowance resets monthly. It is not unlimited access, and it does not represent 200 unique visitors or 200 full conversations. The first project is free to create; additional projects have a one-time fee.
If you arrived after searching for a “free ChatGPT API,” the service described here is Gammal Tech's AI API. Do not assume it is the official OpenAI API or compatible with an OpenAI integration. If your project requires a particular provider or model, verify that requirement before choosing an integration.
Check that your project fits the service
The service is designed for websites, not native mobile apps. Access is controlled through whitelisted HTTPS domains rather than API keys. A public project identifier identifies the project; it is not a secret credential.
This makes the offer relevant to a founder testing a website assistant, a developer adding an explanation feature, or a business owner improving a narrowly defined help experience. A small, useful task is easier to evaluate than a general assistant expected to answer everything.
Before starting, confirm that visitors can sign in, identify the information your assistant needs, and decide how you will handle questions it cannot answer. An approved developer account does not automatically sign in people visiting the website.
Create your account once and allow time for approval
Current registration documents: Use the National ID of a country whose citizenship you hold, not a residence-only ID. An Egyptian passport is accepted only for an Egyptian living abroad without their Egyptian National ID available. An Egyptian birth certificate is accepted only for an Egyptian living in Egypt, under 15, who has neither a National ID nor a passport. Check the official registration requirements before applying.
If you do not already have a Gammal Tech account, apply at Gammal Tech Join. Each person creates one account for life. If you already have an account, use it rather than applying for another.
Apply with the National ID issued by a country whose citizenship you hold, subject to the limited documented Egyptian exceptions, not an identity document based only on your country of residence. For example, an Egyptian living in Saudi Arabia applies with an Egyptian National ID; an Egyptian passport is accepted only if the Egyptian applicant lives abroad and does not have that National ID available.
Approval can take up to 10 days, so include that period in your development schedule. Verification takes place through Gammal Tech. Your website should not ask visitors to provide their identity documents to your own assistant or form.
Create a project and register the website
Once your account is approved, go to My Gammal Tech, log in to the console, open developer mode, and create a project. Developers with an existing approved account can go directly to this step.
Register the HTTPS domains on which the integration will run. A project supports up to four domains. The bare domain and its www version are separate entries, so check the address visitors actually use before configuring access.
Use the Gammal Tech integration guide for the current SDK methods and setup details. After integration, test on the registered website with a signed-in account. Confirm that the interface makes sign-in, waiting for an answer, and request failures clear to the visitor.
Build a useful first feature: a course comparison helper
Consider a training website with two introductory courses. Supply the assistant with their approved descriptions, prerequisites and lesson topics. Give it a specific role: explain the differences using those facts, ask about the learning task when needed, and acknowledge missing information.
For a hypothetical example, one course covers HTML and CSS page layouts; the other introduces JavaScript interactions and assumes basic HTML knowledge. A visitor asks, “I want to add a button that updates a page. Which course is relevant?” A useful response explains why the JavaScript topics relate to that goal and identifies the stated prerequisite.
A practical first test includes three kinds of question:
- A question answered directly by a supplied course description.
- A comparison that needs clarification about what the visitor wants to build.
- A question outside the available information, such as an unpublished course date or a guaranteed employment outcome.
The third answer matters. The assistant should acknowledge missing details and avoid promises absent from the approved descriptions. It does not enroll a visitor simply by recommending a course. Gammal Tech provides ready-made AI that you customise with instructions; installing it does not automatically connect your catalog or booking system.
Use known business facts in frontend instructions, and keep passwords, private credentials and other secrets out of browser-delivered prompts. Test instruction-following as behaviour to evaluate, not a guaranteed safeguard.
Understand paid usage and identity boundaries
After the monthly free allowance is used, signed-in AI calls cost 0.20 EGP each. Guest AI calls have no free allowance and cost 0.40 EGP each. The first guest AI call also consumes all remaining free signed-in calls for the project that month. Review this rule before enabling guest access.
For example, a month containing 250 signed-in calls and no guest calls would produce 50 paid calls, costing 10 EGP in AI usage. This hypothetical calculation counts requests only.
Gammal Tech privately verifies that each person has one account. Partner developers cannot retrieve users' phone numbers, email addresses, legal identities or national ID details from the service. Your application can retrieve information it previously saved itself, such as a product preference, rather than request identity information it never stored.
Questions before you start
Do I need an API key?
No. Gammal Tech controls website access using registered domains. Follow its project setup instructions and whitelist the correct HTTPS domain, including a separate www entry when needed.
Can I use the free allowance for visitors who are not signed in?
No. The 200 monthly free calls are for signed-in users. Guest calls are paid, and the first guest call consumes the project's remaining free signed-in allowance for the month.
Can I launch immediately after submitting my account application?
A new account needs approval, which can take up to 10 days. While waiting, prepare the website interface, your assistant's role, the facts it should use, and a list of questions for testing.
