The key idea
To accept credit card payments as an individual in the Philippines, verify your Gammal Tech account, confirm an eligible same-name bank withdrawal route and configure a project with its required HTTPS callback. Create a guest card payment link for the agreed service and supported currency. After the customer pays, check the merchant transaction record before starting work or releasing a deliverable.
1. Make the order specific before requesting payment
Write down the deliverable, amount, currency, deadline and revision allowance. If payment covers a deposit or milestone, identify which part of the project it covers. A precise request helps a customer recognize the transaction and helps you avoid disagreements later.
Illustrative example: A presentation specialist in Quezon City agrees to redesign an investor deck for a client in Canada. The first milestone covers a visual direction and three sample slides. The payment message names that milestone and states when the sample slides will be delivered after payment is confirmed.
Give the order a reference that you can reuse on the proposal and in your own records. Keep it free of confidential customer details. A useful reference makes matching the conversation, payment and delivery easier as your number of clients grows.
2. Prepare your verified account and bank route
Current registration documents: Use the National ID of a country whose citizenship you hold, not a residence-only ID. An Egyptian passport is accepted only for an Egyptian living abroad without their Egyptian National ID available. An Egyptian birth certificate is accepted only for an Egyptian living in Egypt, under 15, who has neither a National ID nor a passport. Check the official registration requirements before applying.
Start at Gammal Tech registration and complete National ID verification. Gammal Tech does not require commercial registration for individual onboarding. Withdrawals are restricted to an eligible bank account in the same name as the verified person.
Before accepting funds, confirm your receiving account and currency with support. Checkout currency and payout currency are separate decisions. A supported USD or EUR checkout does not guarantee that every Philippine account can receive or retain that currency.
The BSP's InstaPay FAQ describes a domestic Philippine-peso transfer service between participating accounts. A guest card checkout serves a different client need. Do not send an international card customer domestic transfer instructions and assume the two processes are interchangeable.
3. Configure the project once
Open developer mode, create your project and set its HTTPS Payment Callback URL. Payments remain disabled until this required setting is configured. If somebody helps you set up the project, ask them to explain what the callback does and how you will recognize a payment in your merchant records.
You do not need a full ecommerce store to share card links. Link sharing itself needs no SDK installation, secret key or domain whitelisting. The public project identifier connects the link to the correct project; the required callback setup still applies.
Keep the first version manageable. For a small number of custom service orders, personally checking recorded payments and confirming the next step can be a suitable workflow. Add automated delivery only when you have a trusted process for validating the transaction against the order.
4. Generate the link and check the customer's journey
Use the payment link generator with the correct project, service description, amount and supported currency. For a one-off milestone, choose a one-off payment. Recurring guest links are for monthly or yearly billing in supported non-EGP currencies, with the customer's agreement to an ongoing service.
Review the current payment fees and withdrawal rules. Allow for merchant charges, customer charges and transfer deductions when setting expectations. The customer should understand the total before authorizing the payment.
Open the generated link and inspect what the client will see. Check that the service and currency match the proposal. Do not assume a real payment is a free test: review the current testing and refund rules before making a charge.
5. Send the link with a short explanation
Send the payment request through the channel where the client agreed to the work. Include the milestone, order reference, payment link and the next step after confirmation. A customer using the guest card link does not need to open a Gammal Tech account.
A helpful request might say that the link pays for the agreed first milestone and that you will confirm the production start after checking the transaction. Keep that message consistent with your written proposal and cancellation terms.
Let the customer enter card details directly in the legitimate checkout. Never request card photos, the card security code or a banking one-time password through chat. The BSP's fraud-awareness guidance reinforces protecting sensitive card information and checking the website address. Your role is to explain the service and payment request, not to collect the client's card credentials.
6. Confirm the payment and record the next action
Check the transaction in your merchant records and match it to the agreed order, amount and currency. Do not start paid work solely because a client sends a screenshot or returns to a confirmation page. If the result is unclear, resolve it through the recorded transaction and support process before asking the customer to pay again.
| Record | What it helps establish |
|---|---|
| Order reference and proposal | What the customer agreed to buy |
| Verified transaction reference | Which payment belongs to that order |
| Amount and currency | Whether the payment matches the agreement |
| Work status and delivery record | What you have completed and supplied |
If you automate protected delivery later, the process must validate the project, expected order, amount, currency and recorded payment, and prevent the same transaction from triggering delivery twice. A guest payment does not itself create a signed-in customer account in your application.
7. Complete the service and reconcile the withdrawal
Deliver the agreed work, record acceptance or revision requests, and keep the files or delivery reference with the order. When you withdraw, compare the platform's withdrawal record with the bank credit, including deducted transfer charges and any conversion.
Individual provider onboarding remains separate from your own Philippine registration, tax and reporting obligations. Gammal Tech handles the VAT and tax obligations assigned to it under its service arrangements. With that distinction clear, you have a process you can reuse: agree the work, request payment, verify it, deliver and reconcile.
Common questions
Do I need a full website to accept a card payment?
You do not need a full ecommerce store to share a guest card link. You do need a verified Gammal Tech account and a payment-enabled project with its required HTTPS Payment Callback URL configured.
Can I send the payment link through a message?
Yes. You can share it through messages, email or social channels. Include the service description and order reference so the customer understands what the payment covers.
What should I do if a client says they paid but my records are unclear?
Check the recorded transaction and use the official support process to resolve the status. Do not rely on a screenshot alone or immediately request another payment, which could create a duplicate charge.
Can I use the same process for a monthly service?
Recurring guest card links support monthly or yearly billing in supported non-EGP currencies. Agree the ongoing scope, billing period and cancellation terms before the client subscribes.
