What you will finish

Your public page calculates a weighted percentage from known inputs and identifies unassessed components. It does not request student names, save marks or invent an official GPA or letter-grade conversion.

1. Gather these details

  • Obtain the assessment breakdown for one course from the course information available to you. Do not guess weights from question counts or exam duration.
  • Record each assessment’s name, earned marks, maximum marks and percentage weight. A project marked out of 50 but weighted at 20% has two different values.
  • Identify assessments whose results have not been released. Leave those scores unknown instead of entering zero, which represents an actual mark and changes the calculation.
  • Check that all assessment weights add to 100%. If the breakdown is unclear, ask the course provider before drawing conclusions from assumed or incomplete rules.
  • Prepare paper or an independent calculator to verify the example. You do not need student numbers, academic account credentials or uploaded result documents for this tool.

2. Define how the project works

Separate the score from its weight

Each row contains assessment name, earned score, maximum score and weight as a percentage. Earning 40 out of 50 means 80% within that assessment, not 80 points in the overall course result. At a 20% weight, its contribution is 16 percentage points. Place a brief definition beside the weight input and require a positive maximum score so division has a valid, understandable meaning.

Calculate contributions before the total

An assessment’s contribution equals earned score divided by maximum score, multiplied by its weight. Add contributions after checking that weights total 100%. Show each row’s contribution so the student can trace the overall result. Preserve precision during calculations and round the final displayed result to two decimal places. Rounding every intermediate percentage too early can create small differences that come from arithmetic handling rather than the original marks.

Treat unknown marks as unknown

When a result has not been released, leave its score empty and label it pending. Display known contributions and the outstanding assessment weight without calling the partial sum a final grade. Do not automatically redistribute a missing exam’s weight across completed work. Enter an actual zero as zero so that assessment is complete with no contribution. This distinction prevents an unreleased result from being turned into an unsupported judgement about performance.

Check institutional rules separately

A course may have additional conditions, such as a minimum exam score, approved rounding rules or extra credit. This version calculates a simple weighted mean and cannot apply rules it has not been given. Label the output as an arithmetic estimate from user inputs, not an official transcript. If a score exceeds its stated maximum, stop and review the actual rule with the course provider rather than silently accepting any number.

3. Work through an example

Fictional course with three assessments
AssessmentScore and weightContribution out of 100
Project40/50; weight 20%40 ÷ 50 × 20 = 16
Coursework24/30; weight 30%24 ÷ 30 × 30 = 24
Exam45/60; weight 50%45 ÷ 60 × 50 = 37.5
Weight check20 + 30 + 50100%
Weighted result16 + 24 + 37.577.50%

These fictional figures do not represent a particular institution’s grading policy. The result is not converted to GPA or a letter grade; that would require the institution’s actual rules.

4. Set up your account and start the build

  1. Use your account or register.Visit www.gammal.tech/join. New account activation takes 1–10 days. Use a National ID from a country whose citizenship you hold; the official account guide explains the limited exceptions for Egyptian citizens. Submit identity documents only through the official registration process.
  2. Activate the WhatsApp subscription. After approval, open my.gammal.tech and add EGP 200 to your wallet, or use sufficient existing funds. Activate the monthly WhatsApp subscription in your account and check that it is active. Funding the wallet alone does not activate it. This subscription covers light personal use; website creation is charged separately.
  3. Open the building conversation.Message +201033998844 and send the following command by itself, including the required square brackets. Wait for confirmation of build mode:
    [mode: build]
[mode: web] is an alternative for the same mode; you only need one command.
  4. Send the request in the next section.Replace its placeholders and ask for exactly one page using an available name of at least three characters. Before execution, request an itemised quote separating the one-time build fee, EGP 100 for the first month of standard hosting and any additional usage. Ask how changes beyond the agreed scope are charged.
  5. Check the total and approve the build.Once you understand the quote, return to your account and add any missing funds. Return to WhatsApp and confirm the scope and price. Some simple sites take minutes; requirements and revisions affect timing. Open the resulting address and run this guide’s acceptance checks.
  6. Record the renewal date.MeNooN hosting renews manually: select the duration and confirm payment before expiry. Leaving funds in your wallet does not renew it automatically. Send [exit], including brackets, when you finish the building conversation.

Budget: quoted build fee + EGP 100 hosting + EGP 200 for one WhatsApp month if it is not already active, plus agreed usage. Twelve months of standard hosting cost EGP 1,200; adding one WhatsApp month makes EGP 1,400 before build and usage fees. Keeping WhatsApp active for further months costs separately.

5. Adapt and send this request

Replace every bracketed placeholder with your real details. Copy this request after the assistant confirms build mode. Do not publish the illustrative figures as your own.

Build a public ONE PAGE weighted assessment calculator on MeNooN called [name], in [language], for one course. No login, student names, student numbers or input storage. Each row has assessment name, optional earned score, positive maximum score and weight from zero to 100%. Contribution equals score ÷ maximum × weight; add the contributions. Weights must total 100% before showing a final result. Accept weights to two decimal places without numeric comparison errors. Reject negative scores, scores above the maximum, negative weights and missing required fields. A blank earned score means pending, never zero; do not redistribute its weight. If a score is missing, display known contributions and outstanding weight with an incomplete-result label. An entered zero is a completed score. Show row calculations and units, preserve calculation precision and round the final display only. Include row deletion and reset. Explain that the page does not convert to GPA, certify passing or apply institutional rules not supplied. Before execution, separately quote the one-time build charge, standard first-month hosting of EGP 100 and any additional charge. Wait for approval.

6. Test the result before relying on it

  1. Enter 40/50 at 20%, 24/30 at 30% and 45/60 at 50%.Expected result: Contributions are 16, 24 and 37.5; weights total 100% and the final result is 77.50%.
  2. Clear only the exam score, retaining its maximum and weight.Expected result: Show 40 known contribution points and 50% unassessed weight, with no final grade of either 40% or 80%.
  3. Enter an actual exam score of zero, then reduce its weight from 50 to 40.Expected result: Initially the complete result is 40.00%. After the weight change, total weight is 90% and a final result is withheld.
  4. Try a score of 51 out of 50, then zero maximum marks, then reset.Expected result: Invalid values receive clear correction messages. Reset requests new inputs instead of retaining a previous answer.

7. Use the project during its first week

Begin with one course whose assessment breakdown is clear. Enter the fictional example first and compare the answer with independent arithmetic. During the first week, ask a classmate to test a pending mark and an actual zero and explain the difference. If sharing the calculator with a class, use general instructions without requesting public marks or transcript images. Questions about GPA or passing conditions belong with institutional rules; improve the tool by making weights, calculation steps and invalid-input messages easier to understand.

An announcement you can adapt

Do your project and exam have different weights? Try [website link]. Enter score, maximum marks and weight to see each contribution. No name or login is required. The result explains the arithmetic; it is not a GPA conversion or official grade report.

Questions about this project

Why not divide all earned marks by all available marks?

That makes weights depend on maximum marks. When a course explicitly assigns different assessment weights, use those weights; the raw-total approach may produce a different result.

What if an assessment result is pending?

Leave its score blank and retain the correct weight. The calculator shows known contributions and outstanding weight without assuming zero or declaring a final result.

Does the percentage determine whether I pass?

Not necessarily. Institutions may use separate minimums, rounding and conversion rules. Use this page to understand arithmetic and check official results and requirements with the course provider.
