A learning app needs to remember where a student stopped. A productivity tool needs to restore a draft. A game needs to load a player’s preferences. These experiences need continuity, but they do not necessarily need the person’s email address or phone number.
Gammal Tech combines account sign-in with saved user data for your project. Users can return to the experience you provide while their account contact details remain with Gammal Tech.
What privacy-preserving login means
Privacy-preserving login limits the account information an application receives when someone signs in. With Gammal Tech, your app can confirm that a user has a valid session without receiving their account email, phone number, or identity documents.
This is useful when your product needs a returning account but has no reason to collect those details. The user still has an account with Gammal Tech: this is not anonymity from Gammal Tech. If your app separately asks for a name, email address, or other personal information, your app is collecting that information.
How returning users get their saved data
Sign-in and saved app data have different jobs. Sign-in establishes the current session. Saved user data preserves the experience between sessions.
- Sign in. The visitor opens the hosted Gammal Tech login popup and completes their account sign-in.
- Continue their experience. Your app retrieves the preferences and progress associated with that account and your project.
- Return on another day or device. After signing in again, the user can retrieve the same saved app data.
Sessions are kept per browser tab. A fresh tab or reopened browser requires another sign-in. That does not erase the saved user data. Sign-out clears the local session, while preferences and progress remain available for a later visit.
A learning app that remembers progress
Imagine a startup offering short programming lessons. Its personalized experience needs three things: the student’s preferred language, the last lesson they opened, and their bookmarks.
| Feature | What to expect |
|---|---|
| Language | English |
| Last lesson | Lesson four |
| Bookmarks | Lessons two and four |
When the student returns and signs in, the app can offer to continue from lesson four. Their phone number is not needed for that feature. The same approach can support reading lists, onboarding progress, tool settings, or a small draft.
Storage is limited to 1 MB per user. Choose compact, useful information. A saved document or free-text field can still contain personal information even when the sign-in flow does not share identity details.
What your app receives and remembers
Your app receives a session credential and can access its saved user data. It does not receive a contact directory or identity documents through login verification. A session credential represents access for a session; it is not a permanent customer identifier.
For a product owner, the practical choice is which information the experience actually needs. If a language preference and lesson progress are sufficient, collecting an address or birth date adds a separate responsibility without improving that feature.
Project setup and pricing
Currency guide: Listed EGP prices are the billing amounts. USD figures are approximate, using USD 1 = EGP 51.78, the calculated midpoint of Banque Misr’s USD buying and selling rates on 24 September 2026. Your payment provider’s exchange rate and fees may differ.
Start with a verified owner account and create a project in the Developer Console. Register up to four HTTPS domains for the project. The bare domain and its www version count separately. The integration does not require a developer API key.
| Feature | What to expect |
|---|---|
| Login, logout and session checks | Free, with unlimited use. |
| Saved user data | Free; a maximum of 1 MB per user applies. |
| Login codes (OTP) | 200 codes per month per project are included. Additional codes cost 0.40 EGP (approx. US$0.0077) each. |
The code allowance includes codes sent during login and checkout identity verification, and resets monthly. Paid usage comes from the project balance: add funds to your personal wallet, then transfer them into the project. The first project is free; additional projects have a one-time fee shown in the Console.
Common questions
Can users return without giving my startup their email?
Yes. Users sign in through their Gammal Tech account, and your project can retrieve its saved user data without receiving their account email address.
Can my app still collect personal data?
Yes. A profile form, support message, or saved document can contain personal information. That collection is separate from the account information withheld during sign-in.
Is this storage a replacement for every business database?
No. The documented service stores up to 1 MB per user. Shared business records, large files, financial ledgers, and access permissions need arrangements suited to those requirements.
