What you will finish
You will finish with a public calculator that works without customer accounts, displays transparent totals and prints a labelled draft. Visitors will not need to provide personal or payment information to calculate an amount.
1. Gather these details
- Choose three real types of item you sell and specify the unit for each: piece, hour or session. A clear unit prevents confusing package and individual prices.
- Choose one currency for each draft. Keep its label beside the totals; do not introduce currency conversion or combine different currencies in a single document.
- Start with one fixed discount applying to the whole draft. Defining a single discount method makes both the calculation and its explanation easier to verify.
- Prepare fictional quantities and prices and calculate their expected totals on paper. Use these checks before entering information connected to an actual customer transaction.
- Prepare a prominent printed label stating that the document is a draft for review, not a certified tax invoice. It should remain readable on every printed copy.
2. Define how the project works
1. Define the information the calculation needs
Start with a title, an optional reference you assign and a draft date. Follow these with the item table. Descriptions should identify exactly what is being priced, while quantities must be positive and prices clearly labelled. Do not ask for identity numbers, payment details or a home address. This public calculator can complete its job without collecting customer information. Handle any final customer-specific document through your appropriate business process after checking the figures.
2. Fix the calculation order
Multiply each quantity by its unit price, round each line amount to two decimal places using decimal half-up rounding, and then add those displayed line amounts. Subtract the fixed discount once from that subtotal. The discount cannot be negative or exceed the subtotal. Show the rounding convention explicitly so the printed figures reconcile. Do not automatically invent a tax rate: its applicability cannot be determined from a business name, a customer location or a sample calculation.
3. Make correction straightforward
Include an add-item control and a separate delete control for each row. Someone should be able to correct one entry without rebuilding the entire draft. Display subtotal, discount and final amount separately, with recalculation after a changed quantity or price. Require confirmation before clearing the whole draft. That small safeguard matters when someone has entered several items and has not yet printed or checked the document.
4. Check the printable result
Print a short example yourself and confirm that descriptions, currency and the draft label remain visible. Editing controls and explanatory interface text should disappear from the print view. Explain that refreshing the page can clear entries because this version does not save them. Keep a reviewed copy in your normal document system when necessary. A browser page with a number still on screen is not a reliable transaction record or evidence of payment.
3. Work through an example
| Item | Calculation | Amount in EGP |
|---|---|---|
| Page formatting | 3 × 150 | 450 |
| Additional review | 2 × 75 | 150 |
| Subtotal | 450 + 150 | 600 |
| Fixed discount applied | 600 − 50 | 550 |
The final amount is EGP 550. No tax is added in this example; that does not imply your own transactions are exempt or establish their tax treatment.
4. Set up your account and start the build
- Use your account or register.Visit www.gammal.tech/join. New account activation takes 1–10 days. Use a National ID from a country whose citizenship you hold; the official account guide explains the limited exceptions for Egyptian citizens. Submit identity documents only through the official registration process.
- Activate the WhatsApp subscription. After approval, open my.gammal.tech and add EGP 200 to your wallet, or use sufficient existing funds. Activate the monthly WhatsApp subscription in your account and check that it is active. Funding the wallet alone does not activate it. This subscription covers light personal use; website creation is charged separately.
- Open the building conversation.Message +201033998844 and send the following command by itself, including the required square brackets. Wait for confirmation of build mode:
[mode: build][mode: web]is an alternative for the same mode; you only need one command. - Send the request in the next section.Replace its placeholders and ask for exactly one page using an available name of at least three characters. Before execution, request an itemised quote separating the one-time build fee, EGP 100 for the first month of standard hosting and any additional usage. Ask how changes beyond the agreed scope are charged.
- Check the total and approve the build.Once you understand the quote, return to your account and add any missing funds. Return to WhatsApp and confirm the scope and price. Some simple sites take minutes; requirements and revisions affect timing. Open the resulting address and run this guide’s acceptance checks.
- Record the renewal date.MeNooN hosting renews manually: select the duration and confirm payment before expiry. Leaving funds in your wallet does not renew it automatically. Send
[exit], including brackets, when you finish the building conversation.
Budget: quoted build fee + EGP 100 hosting + EGP 200 for one WhatsApp month if it is not already active, plus agreed usage. Twelve months of standard hosting cost EGP 1,200; adding one WhatsApp month makes EGP 1,400 before build and usage fees. Keeping WhatsApp active for further months costs separately.

5. Adapt and send this request
Replace every bracketed placeholder with your real details. Copy this request after the assistant confirms build mode. Do not publish the illustrative figures as your own.
Build a single-page invoice draft calculator on MeNooN for [business name]. Make it mobile friendly and accessible by keyboard. Use [EGP] as the currency. Provide editable item descriptions, quantities, unit prices and line amounts, with add and remove controls. Multiply quantity by unit price, round each line to two decimal places using decimal half-up rounding, and add the displayed line amounts. Provide one fixed-amount discount and show subtotal, discount and final total separately. Reject missing or nonpositive quantities, negative prices and a discount above the subtotal with a clear explanation. Do not invent tax rates or prices. Include an optional reference, a date and a print view that hides controls. Label the result prominently as a draft for review, not a certified tax invoice. Do not require login, collect customer information, save entries or send their contents to a server. Ask for confirmation before clearing entries and explain the risk of losing unsaved input. Do not add payment or chat features. Before starting, quote the one-time build fee separately from the first month of standard one-page hosting at EGP 100 and disclose any additional usage costs. Wait for my approval.
6. Test the result before relying on it
- Enter three units at 150 and two at 75, then a fixed discount of 50.Expected result: The subtotal must be 600 and the final amount 550 EGP. Compare both with the worked example.
- Enter two separate lines, each with quantity one and unit price 10.125.Expected result: With the specified line-rounding rule, each shows 10.13 and the subtotal is 20.26. Resolve any different result.
- Leave a quantity blank, then try a 700 discount against a 600 subtotal.Expected result: The page must request a valid quantity or discount instead of presenting an apparently valid printable total.
- Print the example, then press Clear and cancel the first confirmation.Expected result: The print includes currency and the draft label. Cancelling preserves entries; confirming a later clear removes them.
7. Use the project during its first week
Use five short fictional drafts during the first week and independently check each result with a calculator. Record any discrepancy and the inputs needed to reproduce it, without adding customer information. Once corrected, ask one colleague to create a different example and print it from a phone. Observe whether they understand the discount and draft label without your explanation. If you use the tool in your work, review each document before sending it and keep the necessary copy outside the page. The calculator neither proves payment nor certifies a tax document.
An announcement you can adapt
Check line items and discounts in a simple invoice draft calculator: [website link]. Enter your figures and print a draft for review. It is a calculation aid, not a certified electronic tax invoicing service.
Questions about this project
Can this replace an official electronic invoicing system?
No. This project creates a calculation draft. Do not describe it as certified or connected to a tax authority, and do not assume that a printable page meets your business invoicing requirements.
Why leave customer names out?
The arithmetic does not require them. Omitting personal fields keeps the public tool simpler and lets visitors check an amount without opening an account or giving the site owner customer information.
What if I need percentage discounts later?
Add an explicit choice between a percentage and a fixed amount, define the calculation order, and repeat the numeric tests. Avoid silently applying both discount methods to the same draft.
