What you will finish
Your finished mobile-friendly page takes watts, daily operating hours, days and an EGP-per-kilowatt-hour rate. Visitors see energy and estimated cost without creating an account, submitting personal details or storing their inputs.
1. Gather these details
- Choose one appliance and find a power figure stated in watts on its label or documentation. Do not treat a figure in another unit as watts.
- Estimate actual operating hours and the number of days. Being plugged in throughout the day is different from operating continuously at a fixed power.
- Prepare a clearly fictional unit price for your demonstration. Do not label that price as an official Egyptian tariff or a current consumption tier.
- Decide that the page estimates operating energy only. It must not silently include service charges, taxes, arrears or other components of an actual bill.
- Prepare an independent calculator and three examples with known answers. You are checking arithmetic and units, not comparing a single appliance with an entire household bill.
2. Define how the project works
Label the four inputs precisely
Use power in watts, operating hours per day, number of days and price per kilowatt-hour in Egyptian pounds. Put units beside every input. Permit fractional hours, such as half an hour, but reject more than 24 hours per day. Require a positive whole number of days. A recorded zero power or zero hours can produce zero energy; an empty field should request an entry rather than silently turning into zero.
Show the arithmetic behind the answer
Multiply watts by daily hours and days, then divide by 1,000 to obtain kilowatt-hours. Multiply that energy by the entered unit rate for estimated cost. Keep full precision during calculation and round only displayed results. Show the visitor’s rate beside the answer so changing it has an understandable effect. Do not embed an unverified tariff, introduce consumption tiers or claim that one fixed rate reproduces every electricity pricing arrangement.
Explain the fixed-power assumption
A label rating does not always equal an appliance’s average demand throughout its use. Some equipment changes power or cycles on and off. State that the calculation assumes constant power during the entered operating hours. A measured average or suitable manufacturer information may improve the input, but the calculator cannot verify it. Do not request meter numbers, addresses or access to an electricity account; none is needed for this arithmetic.
Make another estimate easy
Provide clear calculate and reset buttons. A visitor should be able to change daily operating hours and immediately calculate a new scenario. Do not retain device details or publish user inputs. When a field is invalid, explain what to fix before displaying an answer. Beside results, explain that consumption tiers, taxes and charges may affect a real bill and that one appliance does not represent total household consumption. Keep the wording readable for a beginner.
3. Work through an example
| Input or result | Value | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| Assumed power | 1,000 W | Equivalent to 1 kW |
| Operating time | 2 hours × 30 days | 60 operating hours |
| Energy | 60 kWh | 1,000 × 2 × 30 ÷ 1,000 |
| Illustrative rate | EGP 2 per kWh | Not an official tariff |
| Estimated energy cost | EGP 120 | 60 × 2, excluding other charges |
With one operating hour per day instead, the same example gives 30 kWh and EGP 60. These numbers demonstrate a formula, not a household billing forecast.
4. Set up your account and start the build
- Use your account or register.Visit www.gammal.tech/join. New account activation takes 1–10 days. Use a National ID from a country whose citizenship you hold; the official account guide explains the limited exceptions for Egyptian citizens. Submit identity documents only through the official registration process.
- Activate the WhatsApp subscription. After approval, open my.gammal.tech and add EGP 200 to your wallet, or use sufficient existing funds. Activate the monthly WhatsApp subscription in your account and check that it is active. Funding the wallet alone does not activate it. This subscription covers light personal use; website creation is charged separately.
- Open the building conversation.Message +201033998844 and send the following command by itself, including the required square brackets. Wait for confirmation of build mode:
[mode: build][mode: web]is an alternative for the same mode; you only need one command. - Send the request in the next section.Replace its placeholders and ask for exactly one page using an available name of at least three characters. Before execution, request an itemised quote separating the one-time build fee, EGP 100 for the first month of standard hosting and any additional usage. Ask how changes beyond the agreed scope are charged.
- Check the total and approve the build.Once you understand the quote, return to your account and add any missing funds. Return to WhatsApp and confirm the scope and price. Some simple sites take minutes; requirements and revisions affect timing. Open the resulting address and run this guide’s acceptance checks.
- Record the renewal date.MeNooN hosting renews manually: select the duration and confirm payment before expiry. Leaving funds in your wallet does not renew it automatically. Send
[exit], including brackets, when you finish the building conversation.
Budget: quoted build fee + EGP 100 hosting + EGP 200 for one WhatsApp month if it is not already active, plus agreed usage. Twelve months of standard hosting cost EGP 1,200; adding one WhatsApp month makes EGP 1,400 before build and usage fees. Keeping WhatsApp active for further months costs separately.

5. Adapt and send this request
Replace every bracketed placeholder with your real details. Copy this request after the assistant confirms build mode. Do not publish the illustrative figures as your own.
Build a public ONE PAGE appliance energy calculator on MeNooN called [calculator name], in [language]. Do not require login, store inputs or ask for meter numbers, addresses or personal information. Inputs are watts, daily operating hours between zero and 24, a positive whole number of days, and an EGP-per-kWh rate supplied by the visitor. Reject missing, negative and nonnumeric entries with readable messages beside the relevant field. Never interpret a blank as zero. Calculate energy as watts × hours × days ÷ 1,000, and estimated cost as energy × the entered rate. Display units, calculation steps and the rate used; round for display only. Include reset. State the constant-power assumption and explain that some appliances vary demand or cycle during use. Make clear that this is an educational estimate, not an official bill, and excludes tariff tiers, taxes and charges. Do not invent an official rate or guaranteed savings. Label the example of 1,000 W, two hours, 30 days and EGP 2 as fictional; its results are 60 kWh and EGP 120. Before execution, quote the one-time build charge, standard first-month hosting of EGP 100 separately, and any additional charges. Wait for approval.
6. Test the result before relying on it
- Enter 1,000 W, two hours per day, 30 days and EGP 2 per kWh.Expected result: The result is 60 kWh and EGP 120, displaying the entered rate without invented extra charges.
- Enter 60 W, five hours, ten days and EGP 2.50 per kWh.Expected result: Energy is 3 kWh and cost is EGP 7.50. Check that division by 1,000 occurs exactly once.
- Leave the rate blank, then try 25 daily hours or negative watts.Expected result: The page withholds a final answer and explains each invalid entry next to its field.
- Enter zero daily hours, then reset the calculator.Expected result: Zero hours gives zero energy and cost. Reset clears the previous result and requests new inputs.
7. Use the project during its first week
Start with one appliance whose rating you understand and record operating hours for three days. Ask someone unfamiliar with kilowatt-hours to use the page and explain the result in their own words. If they mistake it for an official bill, improve the title and explanation before sharing. Post the fixed-power demonstration to an appropriate household discussion group and ask which input labels were unclear. During the first week, collect questions about watts versus kilowatt-hours without asking people to submit bills or private account details.
An announcement you can adapt
Want to understand one appliance’s energy use? Try [website link]. Enter its watts, operating time and your chosen unit rate to see the calculation. This is a fixed-power estimate, not an official electricity bill or a promise of particular savings.
Questions about this project
Should I use 24 hours for a refrigerator?
The formula assumes constant power throughout the stated hours. A refrigerator cycles, so its label power multiplied by 24 hours may not represent its actual average consumption. Use suitable consumption information where available.
Why does the answer differ from my bill?
A bill can include many appliances, pricing tiers and other charges. This page applies one entered rate to one appliance. It cannot establish that a bill is incorrect.
Is the example rate current?
No. EGP 2 is a fictional arithmetic input. Verify a rate appropriate to your circumstances and remember that a single rate may not reproduce a tiered pricing system.
